The only song they have messed with on the setlist is "Lucy" which they played early in the tour but haven't played recently.

Re: Skillet sets fires to Denver

Liz - Great stuff!!! This is a great summary of the Skillet set. Brought it all back again..even though it's only a few days after (my voice and neck are nearly healed ;) ).

It's quite the odd (in my opinion) to have Hawk Nelson in this group of bands. HN is my daughter's favorite band (she was the enthusiastic girl sitting behind you!) and she also love's Skillet and the others. I was surprised to see such young kids there, but I'm sure HN had a lot to do with that. I hope the other bands didn't scare their parents too much. John did a great job relating to the parents with his "buying music" story.

Love the blog so far. I'll be checking back too. Hope you can put up some stuff about the other bands on the tour as well.

Rich

Re: Seth Smith’s Christian faith shows up on ballfield

I am a Phillies fan and I can say that it was a pleasant surprise to hear that played when Smith came to the plate. Seth Smith is a class act and has been an inspiring example of who Jesus was.

Seth Smith is an example of how the God of the universe cares for us and acts in our lives. It's not easy to make Christ a priority in your life, but when you do, you feel His awesome love. That's much more important than even game winning home runs off Tim Lincecum.

Re: MercyMe asks for prayers

What a horrible tragedy!
They will be in my prayers.

Re: Skillet “melts” fan’s face off

SKILLET WAS AMAZING!!! There are many Christians scared of dudes like Marilyn Manson.... Also I love that people are his real motivation, not just music and that talking to people after the show is so important to him. I heard from many people who had gone especially to his Solo Shows that he spends as much as time as it takes to talk to people..... And I also love the point that Lava76 made that being worshiped will destroy you, character is the issue. I love the Newsboys and also Paul's Solo Music! If you are interested, check his music out at www.paulcolman.com

Re: Biblical prophecies? I have read the bible just recently and i was amazed. It talks about earthquakes, floodes, hunger, illnesses. Everything that was written there is happening right before our eyes. I am an atheist, but if I did believe in a god, it would be a god that did not slaughter his people by the hundreds of thousands in order to signal a time to repent. I am much more comfortable chalking these events up to terrible natural disasters. Nothing "divine" is at work here.

Re: Rock shocker and the Newsboys

What a great point. "We're not made to be worshipped..." So true of most every major star in this day and age. If someone gives you praise and you can't or won't deflect that praise to the God that gave you your talents, the sin of Pride sets in and so begins your downfall.

Sure wish I could have seen that show. Sounded like a good one.

Aloha

Re: Write a TobyMac, Jeremy Camp review

The concert was amazing! I have never seen Jeremy Camp or Matthew West, and I was impressed. I would definitely see them again. I brought my 10 year old son and his friend to see Toby Mac, it being a school night, they were tired, however as soon as Toby hit the stage, they were suddenly up on their feet. I had seen Toby many, many years ago with DC Talk, it was great to see him perform again. Everyone in the entire band is awesome, and as said above, the amount of energy that they all have on stage is crazy! Not only a great show, but a great message as well. Can't wait to see them again.
